The production methods of titanium and titanium alloy stepped bar mainly include air hammer forging, radial forging and hydraulic forging. Air hammer forging is suitable for small and medium sized titanium and titanium alloy bars, radial forging is suitable for small and medium sized bars, and hydraulic press forging is suitable for large and medium sized bars. Titanium and titanium alloy bars produced by forging are mainly used in the production of structural parts, fasteners, forgings and die forgings in aerospace, chemical industry, shipbuilding, marine, medical, sports and other industries.

7.Technology and equipment advantages of forged titanium stepped bar

 

When the titanium bar is forging, The hammerheads (4 pairs of hammerheads) distributed in the circumferential direction forge the workpiece rapidly and synchronously. If the workpiece is a circular section, one side rotates at a low speed and the other side moves in an axial direction; the radial forging is characterized by that it does not need a special die, and it can forge precise  bars of any diameter according to a predetermined procedure. Radial forging has a small amount of compression per time and a high number of forging times per minute, generally 240-1800 times / min, which can improve the plasticity of metal.

Accuracy of Forgings: diameter of hot forging ± 0.5mm, diameter of cold forging ± 0.1mm.
